Vigneti Repetto

MY WORK

Where wine meets the horizon

The company covers 26 hectares 18 of vignards located between 240 and 340 metres in height: the excellent exposure and the Sant'Agata Fossili marls, calcareous clay soils are the strong point for a quality production.
In Sarezzano, in the Tortona hills, on the Unesco Belvedere Tortona slope Sarezzano in the east of Piedmont, a new wine project is born which aims to combine technology and eco-sustainability.

History

____

Vigneti Repetto is a Winery based in Terre Derthona area, the protagonists of this venture are Gian Paolo Repetto and his wife Marina.
Gian Paolo, born of a family of farmers and raised in the countryside, initially decided to devote himself to his passion for technology by founding a company operating in the sectors of engineering, but moving away from the countryside .
The values acquired during his youth in the countryside and shared by his wife, such as the ability to solve problems and the sense of community, have never ceased to remind him of his deep love for the land.
The call of home and the unique charm of the Tortona hills, where the vineyards meet the horizon, have done the rest, “Ancient Method Modern Technology” is the company motto who summarizes the thought of the vigneron and means respect for traditions with the use of the technique, which today allows us to respect nature in the vineyard and cellar, obtaining grapes of the highest quality, a primary requirement for getting a wine..

The territory

____

This is not just a land: it is home. The pure air, the temperate climate, the fertile soil and, above all, the love of the men who cultivate it make these hills truly unmatched in the province of Alessandria, on the border with Lombardy and Liguria, devoted to viticulture and fruit farming. .

The Tortona hills, in the shadow of Mount Giarolo, are composed of the Curone, Grue, Ossona, Borbera and Spinti valleys. Among the typical products, in addition to wine, there are porcini mushrooms, white and black truffles, Montèbore cheese (slow food garrison) and Nobile del Giarolo salami, to be enjoyed between a ride on the streets of Fausto Coppi, the Campionissimo, and a visit to the Pellizza da Volpedo Museum to admire the "Fourth State" and other works known throughout the world.

The Cellar

____

Thinking that technology is our best resource for eliminating chemistry and consumption both in the vineyard and in the winery we decided to vinify Timorasso using a winemaker designed by a Piedmontese start-up, made up of the Elegir brothers who, with great initiative and expertise, an engineer and the other winemaker gave birth to VinoOxygen.
This allows us to make wine without racking, so as to reduce sulphites to the minm without risk to quality, as well as drastically limiting water consumption, for washing after decanting.

Why FIVI?

____

We believe that the Italian federation of independent winemakers is the association that can best represent small producers like us, who believe that quality can only be achieved by scrupulously following all the phases of the process that leads to obtaining the wine, starting from the soil up to the bottle.
